Trevor Woodhouse Superb album!! The intense ferocity and anger with which she plays the cello is sheer witchcraft to the ears. Viscerally raw and earnest, her songs are both mesmeric and cacophonous, both inviting and polarizing, her snarls and shrieks beautiful and heartrending. Invoking PJ Harvey and Tori Amos with her own unique blend of angsty delivery, she is definitely deserving of more attention. I hope she goes far. Favorite track: The Sidepiece.

Gavin Hellyer Unique stuff, nicely damaged and making dominant use of the cello in pretty much all ways possible. Fine record. Favorite track: Purpose.
